Tracking a Bill
Once you’ve identified a bill for advocacy, you need to follow its route through the process. The legislature’s website has created a system for the public to track bills.
First, sign up for an account here.
Once you are logged in, you can enter the bill into your system, decide how often you want to be notified of its status (every day or just when something happens), and whether you want texts and/or email notices. You can choose to track bills by number, by legislator, or by keyword.
Email alerts will come from helpdesk@ex1.ldp.state.ct.us. If you don’t get them, check your junk file. The alerts provide you with the latest action by bill and let you know if a public hearing has been scheduled. You can go back to the bill status page from links in the alert.
